Testimonials:

Allow me to recommend someone to you.

I've been playing Guitar since I was 7 years old, off and on, and have played professionally on the road. Currently I'm in a Blues band. I play through a 1974 Fender Twin Reverb that had been passed down to me by my Grandfather, who passed away in 1999. He bought the amp brand new and played professionally with it for 20 years before retiring it. Needless to say, this amp means a lot to me and I was hesitant to let just anybody work on it. I met with Steve the day I took it to him to have all of the tubes, and capacitors replaced and had it in my head that if I didn't like what I saw and heard from Steve, I was taking my grandfathers amp home and look for someone else. Needless to say, I felt confident after our short conversation to leave it with him.

Steve works out of his garage (not any more), and it's a very clean and organized shop. He's knowledgeable about amplifiers, although admittedly, we talked more about Fender than anything else but he had a Carvin on the bench. After getting my amp back, I can definitely vouch for the quality of his work. I couldn't imagine this amp sounding any better (less the hums and pops that I wanted to go away) when I took it to him, and I'd never heard this amp brand new. I can say that the difference is AMAZING! It is SILENT until I play something. The sound is so clear and punchy that I can't believe that I sound that good playing.

His prices are fair, and I checked a couple of other music stores to see what they would charge to "Send it out" and have it gone through, and his estimate was quite a bit lower than Guitar Center in Chattanooga, given that the kid behind the counter threw out a figure and I got the impression that he really didn't know what he was talking about. . .

If I have a problem with my amplifier ever again, I'd take it back to Steve. (I don't think I'll have to though. . .)..Eric D.

Steve! I want to thank you for doing the mods to my Fender Blues Junior! It is a sonic beast now, and I smile every time I sit down with it. My Strat has never sounded so good! I appreciate your communication and the tips you gave me to get the most out of it. I will spread the word down here in Calhoun about your fine service. Thanks again,

Larry

Testimonial from Zack Herman

Steve tackled a modification job on one of my peavey tube amps for a fair price and a great turn around time. Although I knew the specifics of what I wanted to modify, Steve was very interested in the actual sound I was trying to create from the modification. Instead of listening to what I wanted to do and simply saying OK, he made other suggestions and gave me a few tone related tips that were extremely helpful as well. This was above and beyond, thank you Steve! You rock!
